If I had been alive during the Crucifixion of JESUS, would I have been on HIS SIDE?

I Wonder

I wonder what the future holds

For an unworthy one like me.

I’m glad I wasn’t alive on earth

When Jesus walked to Calvary.

I wonder what I would have done

If I was living then.

Would I have been His enemy

Or would I be His friend?

Would I be part of the jeering mob

That shouted, “Crucify”?

And would I be there cheering when

That same crowd watched Him die?

Or would I be the Cyrenian who

Helped carry His heavy cross?

Or would I be the thief on His left

Who suffered eternal loss?

I guess it’s best to never know

Just what I may have been,

For now I’ve placed my trust in Him

Whose blood can cleanse all sin!
