Yeshua (Jesus)
Shalom
from Jerusalem,
to the
BODY of MESSIAH
Sharon, whose photo is above, was one of 13 Israelis I interviewed for
the Bibles For Israel Ministry Video.
I can't tell you how exhilarating it was to interview these men and
women - especially when ALL of
them said they would be willing to read the Hebrew version of the Messianic
Prophecy Bible when it is completed! A few of them were so
curious about Yeshua that they gave me their phone numbers and asked
me to meet with them later to discuss how Yeshua fulfilled the
prophecies in their Jewish Tanakh (the Old Testament).
Our camera crew started out in the Holy City of Jerusalem, we then
went to B'nai Brak, an ultra- Orthodox Chassidim suburb of Tel Aviv
where the people are so religious that if you drive your car on
Shabbat (the Sabbath), Orthodox children and adults will stone
your car for breaking the laws of keeping the Shabbat. We then
continued our interviews on the boardwalk of the Tel Aviv oceanfront
which is completely secular.
A lot of people were curious about our filming and sometimes we had a
crowd standing around us, as I asked these three questions:
Do
you think that Yeshua could be the Messiah for the Jewish people?
Do
you know about the Messianic prophecies?
Would
you want one of our free Messianic Prophecy Bibles?
I interviewed Israelis from all walks of life, but many of the
Chassidim (ultra-Orthodox) I spoke with would not be interviewed on
camera. They did, however, give me their candid remarks. As expected,
they told me they did not believe that Yeshua (Jesus) was the Messiah.
They simply believe that He was a regular Jewish man who betrayed
Judaism, started a new religion, and died 2000 years ago.
Sadly, these Orthodox Jewish men who study the Talmud, and the
Bible for hours upon hours every day in their Jewish learning study
centers know absolutely nothing about the Messianic prophecies.
Prophecies that were only fulfilled by Yeshua, and are the key to
eternal life.
You can imagine that if the religious Jews who read the Bible know
nothing about the Messianic prophecies, then obviously the majority of
Jews, who are secular, are also clueless about the Messiah and their
need for salvation.
It is heart-breaking that as Jews, the ones who brought the Word of
God to the world (both the Old and New Testaments) - that they
themselves have never been told about the prophecies! It's time for
Christians and Messianic Believers to tell the Jewish people that
Yeshua is their Messiah.
And, very shortly we will have this opportunity to spread the Gospel
to Jewish people in Israel and throughout the world as we give them
their very own copy of the Messianic Prophecy Bible for Free.
They will then know about the prophecies, and have the knowledge to
accept Yeshua, so that they can receive eternal life.

With the camera crew behind me as I was holding the microphone -
a crowd of people gathered around to see what was happening. We were
in front of the Jerusalem central bus station during morning rush hour
and hundreds of people were streaming by us as buses from around the
country were unloading every couple of minutes. Sadi was the first
person we interviewed. She was on her way to work but she wanted to
take a moment to give her opinion about the Messiah.
"Do you think that Yeshua
(Jesus) could be the Messiah?" I asked as I held the microphone
up to her.
|
"I don't think so, because we have another
religion," replied Sadi.
Yosef from Jerusalem, stated, "We
already got the promise from God that we will have the
Messiah, but no where is it mentioned that Jesus is the
one."
"I think that it is for Christians, because Jewish
people do not believe in Yeshua," said
Eli, who lives in Rehovot.
A woman with her elderly mother from
Tel Aviv answered, "It's a hard question
for me, because we Jews never deal with this issue."

"I believe that Yeshua is Jewish, but
whether he is the Moshiach (Messiah), I'm not sure - maybe yes, maybe
no," stated Adi from the coastal
city of Bat Yam.
For my last question, I asked everyone, "If I gave you a
Tanakh (Bible) for Free, and inside the Tanakh (Bible) when you come
to a Messianic prophecy it shows you how Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled that
prophecy and also explained right there how the Rabbis say that it
isn't speaking about Yeshua, would you be willing to read it and
investigate the truth for yourself?"
Everyone - both Orthodox and secular Israelis
- responded "YES!"
Their responses absolutely exhilarated me . .
.
"Yes, I have no problem with this. I will do it."
- said the woman from Bat Yam
"Yes, I would like to read it." -
replied Joel
"Oh, you're talking about something brand new. I will look at
it." - stated Yosef
"Maybe, if you show me in the Tanakh that Yeshua is the
Messiah of the Jewish people, maybe I believe." -
said Adi
"Yah, I want to see it. It will be interesting to read."
- said Daniel
"I think I would read it." -
said Malka

"I will be more than happy to get one. I will be very curious
to see and read it." - said Ari
"I always take a look at everything. I am very open-minded and
the Jewish people are also open-minded, and everyone would take a
look." - replied Rivka
"Yes, I will certainly read it, but I'm not sure I will
believe in it." - said Eli
"Of course I would be willing to read this new Bible. I'm open
to all views. I think my own way, and if you show me another way that
is the correct way and prove it to me, then of course I will listen
and maybe I will accept it." - said
Devorah
Are you sensing from these comments the 3 things I most clearly
witnessed in my interviews?
1.
First, most Jewish people do not read the Tanakh (Bible), and they
certainly do not know the Messianic prophecies.
2.
Second, Jewish people - whether religious or secular - are open to
getting one of our Messianic Prophecy Bibles and
investigating for themselves whether Yeshua is the Promised Messiah of
Israel.
And
third, there is an obvious need for the Messianic Prophecy Bible,
and there is an urgency to complete it and distribute it freely to
Jewish people. As is says in Matthew 10:8 - "Freely you have
received freely give."
The prophet Isaiah saw
the day when there would be a return to God and to His appointed
Messiah when he wrote . . . "In that day the remnant
of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will no longer rely
on him who struck them down but will truly rely on the Lord, the
Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will
return to the Mighty God."
(Isaiah 10:20-21)
And Zechariah says . . . "Shout
and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live
among you," declares the Lord. "Many nations will be
joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will
live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me
to you."
(Zechariah 2:10-11)

We don't know when Messiah will return. Even He
didn't know the day and time. He said as much to His followers . . .
"No one knows about that day
or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the
Father." (Matthew 24:36)
What we do know is that the Jewish people will have the opportunity to
accept Yeshua as Messiah before His return, in fulfillment of Romans
11. And I am absolutely convinced that the Messianic Prophecy Bible
will have an important role in bringing this about.

With your financial support we will be able to give this
urgently-needed Prophecy Bible to Israelis like Sharon, Eli, Sadi, Ari,
Malka, and Ya'ara. The people in Israel need your help now.
All of my brotherly love in Yeshua,
